Sequel to the order from the Kano state government to relax t the ongoing lockdown from 6am-12pm for Thursday 23rd April in order to allow the citizens to stockpile foodstuff and other items in preparation for the Ramadan period which commences early today.



A video has surfaced online, showing mammoth crowd at an undisclosed market in Kano who seized the opportunity to go buy things in the market.

Meanwhile, the lockdown has continued today, Friday 24 April, 2020, many Nigerians having viewed this video are scared on what damage must have been done because of the lack of all safety procedures by the shoppers.

It will be recalled that, Kano had declared a lockdown last Thursday to curb the spread of the novel COVID-19 in the state. As at today, Kano state had recorded 73 cases, with 1 death. Meanwhile, the state is yet to record any case for two days now due to the shutting down of the testing centre in the state which led some citizens of the state to took to their twitter handle yesterday and started trending the hastag #NCDCFailedKano.
