Unknown suspected armed robber was killed by an angry mob while attempting to rob an Olugboso resident in the Agege district of Lagos State.

The state's PPRO, SP (Public Relations Officer of the Police) Benjamin Hundeyin noted that the incident happened last week when he confirmed the incident on Sunday.

According to reports, the suspect was apprehended by the mob while brandishing a toy gun to frighten his victims after breaking into the apartment of a resident known only as Victor.

Confirming the development, the Lagos PPRO said the suspect’s corpse has been deposited in the morgue, while Victor, who engaged the suspect in a fight, is responding to treatment in a hospital.

He said, “The incident happened. A pair of scissors and a toy gun were found on the suspect. The corpse has been deposited in the morgue.

“The victim was taken to the hospital, and he is responding to treatment. The investigation is ongoing”.
