Popular Yoruba drama series, Mr.
and Mrs. Kogberegbe has emerged Best Yoruba Sitcom at the Oodua Image Awards organised by Yoruba Youth Corporation, North America.
The award was received by lead actor and producer of the series, Olanrewaju Olakanlu, also known as Mr. Kogberegbe and Dunni Badru otherwise known as Mrs. Kogberegbe at the ceremony which held recently in Houston, Texas.
The organisers of the award said that their sole aim is, to reward outstanding individuals within the Nigerian government, famous artists from our burgeoning entertainment industry, public sector and corporate bodies who have dedicated themselves to the development of Nigeria.
While receiving the award, Olakanlu, who is also the CEO, Creative Village Productions, thanked fans around the world who nominated and voted for the series.
He said, This award is a confirmation of the general acceptance of our show and a reward for our hard work. Its not easy to produce a content that is acceptable by the South-West viewers and Nigerians in Diaspora.
