It is no longer news that the unemployment rate in the country is quite high, and various statistics show that Nigeria is among the top three countries in the world with the highest unemployment ratio to their population.
However, less concern is placed on those that are under-employed, and this is the case with the Ondo state government education board.
It will be noted that the Ondo state government announced last year to recruit some teachers, yes, the process was tedious as many people applied for the post. However, a glance by Naijcrawl shows that may of the new recruit that is degree holder are being under-employed.
In one of the successful applicant employment letter obtained by Naijacrawl, it was noted that the total basic salary for a degree holder in the state is #290,000 and probably the allowances total a little bit above #100,000. This means a degree holder in the state will still be earning less than the stipulated minimum wage.
