Al-Hilal has officially announced that Neymar Jr.

Since joining Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023, Neymar has faced a series of setbacks. The 32-year-old suffered a serious torn ACL in his left knee while on international duty, just after making his move to the Middle East. While he made his return to action in October, a persistent hamstring injury has kept him sidelined for much of the season.

Neymar has only made seven appearances across league and cup competitions, netting just one goal. Jesus acknowledged Neymar's immense talent but emphasized that, physically, the forward can no longer perform at his previous world-class level.

"Neymar will not be registered, but he can still participate in the Asian Champions League," said Jorge Jesus. "He’s a world-class player, but the truth is, physically, he can no longer perform at the level we’re used to."

With his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2024, Neymar has already been linked to several potential moves, including a reunion with former teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at MLS club Inter Miami.
