Despite officially signing for the Premier league side on 30th of January 2020, the new Manchester United creative midfielder has been announced as the Premier league player of the month for the month of February 2020.

The Portuguese has 9 appearances for the Red devil, scored 3 goals and made 4 assits.

He won 4 man of the match awards and the Manchester United player of the month and also the PFA player of the month.

This indeed a great start for Bruno.

With this, Bruno becomes the 20th Manchester player to clinched the award.

Algerian international Riyad Mahrez dynamic performances in Leicesters remarkable Premier League title win last season garnered him the prestigious BBC African player of the year award on Monday.

The 25-year-old France-born forward who earlier this year became the first African to win the Professional Footballers Association Player of the Year award on the back of his 17 goals and 11 assists for Leicester beat fellow nominees Yaya Toure, Sadio Mane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andre Ayew.

The winner was chosen by fans from across the world.

It means a lot, its something big for African players so I am very happy and very proud, he told the BBC.

Its always good to receive awards and for Africans this is a huge honour, added Mahrez, whose father is Algerian and mother of Moroccan/Algerian descent.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri was in the audience and expressed his delight.

He is improving every day, the Italian told the BBC.

I dont speak about his quality. I speak about his sacrifice, he has fought for the team because it is very important for us to be together.

Mahrez, who cost the Foxes then managed by Nigel Pearson just 400,000 when they bought him from French outfit Le Havre in 2014, joins legends such as Ivory Coasts Didier Drogba and Liberian George Weah who have won the award.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has won the English premiership manager of the month of September after beating some other managers like Chelsea's Frank Lampard to the prestigious award.

Liverpool are having a perfect start to the season having won all their eight opening games in the season, the first they have played all eight opening games in season without dropping a point. Their manager also won the premier league manager of the month in the previous month August too, therefore making this one back to back win. His closest rival to the award Frank lampard of Chelsea also had a perfect September despite not starting the season on a flying start like Liverpool. Klopp gives the whole credit to his players and says he feels elated to be managing such crop of players.

Manchester United U16s have won the 2nd Jockey Club Youth Football Academy tournament in Hong Kong following their 3-0 rout of Guangdong U17 in the showpiece game on Friday, August 17.

The Red Devils thrashed Hong Kong FA Academy U17 6-1 in their opening game, before beating Hong Kong District All-Stars 2-1 in their final group game.


In the final, Shola Shoretire scored Manchester United's first goal, Iestyn Hughes added a second in the 39th minute before Charlie Savage made it 3-0 in the 45th minute. 


Shoretire, who was wearing the number ten jersey, showed excellent ball control before firing home a right-footed volley from close range in the 25th minute. 


The highly-rated teenager, who is comfortably playing as a winger and striker, was elected the Man of the Match for his impressive display in the final. 


Shoretire is being monitored by the English Football Association with a view to a call-up to one of their youth teams.

He was also on target in United's win against Hong Kong FA Academy U17 on Tuesday.
