Following the conclusion of this week’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 first-leg fixtures, below are the current leading scorers and assist providers in the Europe top-flight competition so far.
Recall that Borussia Dortmund defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the Champions League last-16 first-leg clash in Germany, thanks to Karim Adeyemi’s second-half goal.
Bayern Munich also defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in Paris, thanks to Kingsley Coman’s only goal of the encounter.
Benfica defeated Club Brugge 2-0 in an away Champions League tie, while AC Milan won 1-0 against Tottenham Hotspur at San Siro.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe are currently the joint-top scorers in the UEFA Champions League for the 2022-2023 season.
Both players have so far scored seven goals each for their respective club sides.
