As Chelsea set to play their third match in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday against Rennes after the Blues have capped off a hugely impressive week with a 3-0 victory over Burnley.
Here is all rthe latest injury news and team update sourced by Naijacrawl crew.
Christian PulisicChristian Pulisic was named in the starting line-up against Burnley, but was withdrawn before kick-off after suffering an injury scare in the warm up.
It will be recalled that the American was replaced in the team by Timo Werner, who went on to score in the 3-0 win.
"He had a small sensation in his hamstring so we had to pull him out," Lampard said after the game."He couldn't play after feeling that in the warm-up so we'll have to scan it."Chelsea will provide an update on Pulisic's condition the coming days.
Kepa ArrizabalagaThe 26-year-old was left out of the squad for the Burnley game, as he continues to make progress on a shoulder injury.
"Kepa is outside as I speak and has had some progression in his shoulder injury so we’re hopeful but we’ll see with that one," Lampard said before the game at Turf Moor.
"In terms of the rest of the squad, we don’t have any clear injuries but we do have a bit of a tired group."We arrived back quite late, in the early hours of this morning, so I’ll have to assess everybody today and tomorrow to see how they’ve settled down and we’ll see where we’re at."
The Spaniard could return to the squad for the Rennes game, but Chelsea will provide an update ahead of the clash.
Billy GilmourBilly Gilmour is making good progress following knee surgery."Billy is working really well," Lampard said before the Sevilla game. "He’s probably three or four weeks away from his return."He’s working outside with the physios at the moment but we hope to integrate him into training with either ourselves or the Under-21s at some point soon."We are probably looking at the other side of the next international break with Billy, all being well."
So, the likes of Pulisic, Kepa and Gilmour will not be available for the Wednesday match.
