Even though Manchester United has won four straight games, Erik ten Hag believes there is still much room for improvement at the club.

United began the year with two embarrassing losses to Brentford and Brighton, but Ten Hag has miraculously inspired a comeback, with his team regaining its composure to earn 12 points from Liverpool, Southampton, Leicester, and Arsenal.

Even though some of those performances fell short of expectations, United was still the rightful winner, and they have shown a renewed sense of camaraderie as Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez have grown closer in the center of defense.

When asked about United's results prior to the Reds' match against Real Sociedad on Thursday night, Ten Hag insisted to the club media that his team's best was yet to come as they are clearly getting better each week.

“There is still a lot to work on,” Ten Hag said. “You see that in the games and the results are good because we are hard to beat at this moment and we must keep that going." That attitude as a team and supporting each other is really important to being successful.
But of course, when you see the games, you can see we can improve a lot still in all moments – possession, building up play into attack and into the final third, from the transition, defending the press... there is still a lot to do.
But from game to game we will improve. I’m sure of that. It’s always good for the development of the team to face different systems and styles and to find answers and solutions. We come into Europe now and into the next phase of the season.
“It will help us as a team, and we will get better from it and improve.”
