In his current interview with BBC, the striker narrated how hard life was for him when he was growing up. He was born into the family of seven and he was the last child of the family. He lost his mother at the age of six and his dad lost his job almost that same period and life became unbearable. He took to hawking both sachet and bottled water in the streets of Lagos at the early age of seven in order to make ends meet. He told how hard work and dedication got him to where he is today and also encouraged every other child and youth passing through tough times to be dedicated and believe in his or herself.

The striker has already scored five goals for his new club Lille in this current campaign.
