Thursday's Matchday 5 results added six new nations — Nigeria, Tunisia, South Africa, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — to the list of qualified teams, intensifying the excitement as the tournament draws closer.

These newly confirmed teams join a lineup featuring both perennial powerhouses and resurgent sides. Host nation Morocco automatically qualified, while early performances saw giants like Senegal and Algeria earn their spots well ahead of time. Traditional AFCON stalwarts Egypt and reigning champions Cote d'Ivoire, both with storied histories and multiple titles, also secured their places, promising a fiercely competitive tournament.
