PSG Set To Return With A New Bid For Inter Milan Centre-Back Milan Skriniar
At the beginning of the transfer window, it was believed that Les Parisiens were keen to sign the 27-year-old player before backing off over the last few weeks.
Last month, PSG reportedly made an offer of nearly €60 million (£50.5 million) to Inter for Skriniar's services, but Simone Inzaghi's team swiftly rejected the Ligue 1 champions' approach.
However, because Skriniar's deal with the Nerazzurri is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, they run the risk of losing him to another team for nothing in the summer of 2023.
The Slovakian international, who was also linked with teams like Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea earlier this summer, is still being held out by Inter in exchange for a high price.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG is willing to increase their offer to meet Inzaghi's side's demands, which are reportedly as high as €70 million (£58.9 million) to authorize Skriniar's departure.
According to the report, Chelsea are no longer interested in acquiring Skriniar, and Inter are preparing for a new approach from Christophe Galtier's team.
Should the Nerazzurri allow Skriniar to depart this summer, either Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji or Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi could arrive at San Siro to replace him.
