Diego Costa sealed his long-awaited return to Atletico Madrid this week, bringing to an end one of the longest transfer sagas of the summer.

The Spain international, watched from the stands as his current and former club face off in the Champions League, and he was left disappointed with the final scoreline. Despite taking the lead through Antoine Griezmann, Chelsea eventually won the game as Alvaro Morata scored the opener and Michy Batshuayi scored with the last kick of the game to end the contest.
Costa who was all smiles before the game, meeting and greeting his ex-teammates, casted a frustrated figure as the referee blew the final whistle. The 28-year-old looked happy when Griezmann put Atleti ahead, but by the time Batshuayi scored the winner, he sat crestfallen and slumped in his chair, covering his face with his hand.
