Connecting your PC to the internet using your Android phone is not a new trick, however what we normally use is a WIFI hotspot.
Today we are going to see how to equally connect your PC to the internet using your USB cable in case your WIFI driver is not working and you can’t simply remove your sim card to insert it into a modem, your computer doesn't support WIFI( I highly doubt this ) or you simply don’t want to use a WIFI hotspot.
There are many reasons why you should use a USB cable as an alternative to using a WIFI hotspot, example:
When you are running low on battery and you want connect to the internet as well as charge your phone.
When you don’t have a proper working WIFI driver or your computer doesn’t support WIFI.
If you prefer an Ethernet-like internet connection to WIFI
Or if you simply don’t want to use a WIFI hotspot.
Now to the meat of the matter…
Many people tend to overlook the simple feature available in almost all android phones …. USB tethering option. Connecting your PC to the internet using USB tethering will make it look just like you are using an Ethernet cable, now what amazes me is how fast this is.
CONNECTING YOUR PC TO THE INTERNET USING USB CABLE
First of all you have to connect connect your Android phone to yout PC using a USB cable; you ‘ll know it’s connected when it shows a charging sign (I suppose you already know this).
Then open your device settings and navigate to connections or wireless and networks…
Find Tethering and hotspot and proceed to check the USB tethering option.
If it successfully checks then your computer is connected as an Ethernet, simply turn on your device data connection to access the internet.
I hope you can now easily connect your laptop or desktop computer to the internet using a USB, if you encounter any problems, hit the reply button.
