In our last lesson , I shown you guys, the interface of AUTOCAD 2007, and we stopped at showing you guys the drawing tools, and now is the day of doing it.

DRAWING TOOLS
LINE
Line is a draw tool commad for making short distance drawing.
Click on the line icon and move your mouse to your canvas.
Click on the canvas to specify first point, then move your mouse left or right for about some length and click and right click and press enter, or click and esc.
CONSTRUCTION LINE
Construction line is a guide line to enable you do your work. It is used as guide line in positioning drawings or objects. It can also be used inform of horizontal and vertical lines.
Click on the construction line icon and move your mouse to your canvas.
Right click on the canvas and a box will appear, select HOR which means horizontal by clicking on it , drop the line by a click press esc.
Note that you can use your keyboard space key to repeat your previous command.
Now use the space key to repeat command and right click to select VER which means vertical, click on it and click to drop it, press esc.
POLY LINE
Poly line it is a continuous line use in making straight lines, rectangles, squares and triangles.
Click on the polyline icon and move your mouse to your canvas.
Click on the canvas to specify first point, then move your mouse left or right for about some length and click and right click and press enter, or click and esc. Repeat it without right clicking just keep on drawing a shapes like square, after point your cursor on it, it will highlight all the shapes. Do the same thing in using line and point your cursor, it will highlight it as a short lines not as a whole.
POLYGON
Polygon it is a shape draw tool command for drawing polygon shapes like pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, nonagon, decagon etc .

Click on the polygon icon and enter the number of sides and press enter. Specify the center by clicking on the canvas and select inscribed in a circle or circumscribed about a circle, click in anyone and enter the radius of the circle and press enter
RECTANGLE
Rectangle is a draw tool commad for making rectangle shapes and square shapes.
Click on the rectangle icon and move your mouse to your canvas.
Click on the canvas to specify first corner point, then move your mouse left or right, up or down for about some length and specify the other corner then click.
CIRCLE
Circle is a draw tool command for making circular shapes in radius or diameter. Mathematically
radius (r)=d/2
Diameter (d) = 2xr
Click on the rectangle icon and move your mouse to your canvas.
Now considering a circle with radius(r) of 50
Click on circle icon . Specify the center point. Type in 50 and press enter.
D=2xr=100
. Click on circle icon . Specify the center point. Type in d and press enter, now type in the diameter which is 100 and press enter. Check your result you will get the equal size of the circle. . Click on the canvas to specify first corner point, then move your mouse left or right, up or down for about some length and specify the other corner then click.
SPLINE
spLine is use for making curve and straight line curves.
Click on the spline icon and move your mouse to your canvas.
Click on the canvas to specify first point, then specify the next point again and again depending on the movement of your curves and right click and enter, right click twice to esc.
