Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has responded to the House of Representatives’ recent directive to shut down all pornographic websites across the country.

On Tuesday, the House instructed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to block access to adult sites nationwide, citing concerns over their impact.

Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), Blaqbonez criticized the decision, calling it a case of misplaced priorities. Using popular adult star Destiny Mira as an example, he argued that adult content plays a role in helping people cope with tough times.

“This country is funny. Destiny Mira, who helps us through tough times, and they want to ban her,” he wrote.
