In a one-minute seven-second video, Yemi Alade decided to air her views on the nation’s “self-acclaimed” critics.
In the video, the 'Johnny' singer said critics are not only being gender biased but are incompetent as well.
“They don’t do any form of research, they don’t listen to the artist songs, then they just say shit”
“I’m smiling to the bank, be there questioning my lyrics…”
Not stopping there, she took a gender route, saying critics unknowingly become gender biased and pay more attention to female artists' lyrics than male artistes.
“They don’t know when they try to pick on females, Enough is Enough, y’all just shut up”, the singer rages.
She said international pop artistes make use of simple lyrics to enable dumb people to understand what they might be singing about, implying that any one who listens and cannot find a haven within her songs is dumb.
