The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended the well-known musician, Habeeb Okikiola, widely recognized as Portable.
This development comes in the wake of allegations that the controversial singer failed to settle a debt incurred during the purchase of a G-Wagon from a local car dealer.
Reports indicate that Portable only made a partial payment of N13 million for the vehicle, which had a total value of N27 million, leaving a substantial balance of N14 million unpaid. Despite reminders, he allegedly refused to clear the outstanding amount owed to the dealer.
Subsequently, the car dealer escalated the issue to the authorities, leading to Portable's arrest on Tuesday.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, affirming that Portable was indeed apprehended on the specified date.
