Music icon and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Manhattan, according to multiple sources.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents arrested Combs following the indictment, although the charges remain sealed.
Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, described the case as "an unjust prosecution," emphasizing that Combs has cooperated fully with authorities throughout the investigation. In a statement, Agnifilo said, "Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist... He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal."
The charges follow a year-long investigation stemming from allegations made by Combs' former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a civil lawsuit. Since then, at least 10 additional lawsuits have been filed, accusing Combs of various offenses, including rape and sex trafficking. Combs has consistently denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.
In March, federal agents raided Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami, seizing electronic devices as part of the investigation led by the Southern District of New York. The raids were part of a federal sex trafficking probe that continues to develop as more women come forward with accusations.
