Staff of popular Afrobeats singer Wizkid have reportedly been held hostage after the musician stood fans up again at his recent concert in Abidjan.

Recall that it was reported that WizKid failed to appear at his Ghana concert on December 10, 2022.

This stirred an uproar on social media as some fans called for his arrest while others expressed immense disappointment in him.

WizKid had tendered an apology following his absence and had explained the reason why he couldn’t make an appearance.

However, recent reports have claimed that the singer’s staff is currently being held hostage in Abidjan after he failed to show up.

One Twitter user identified as @chisomnwoye1 alleged: “Guess what wizkid staff that arrived earlier is being held hostage here in Abidjan until he pays for the mess he caused in Abidjan." it’s the disrespect for the fan. After he will write an apology”
