Justice for Farouk?

After Seven years, Farouk Adamu is sueing Shoprite Holding Limited for using his jingle titled "Shoprite" before giving him feedback and the internet is agog with the hashtag #faroukvsshoprite garnering over 13k+ tweets.

While some are of the view that the $2M settlement he has asked for is too small, others insist that it is a lot and question why he wants to be settled in dollars and not in naira. Some youths have hit the street with placards bearing words like "Stop the intimidation. Face the music" and "Creativity shouldn't be criminalized" as they start an offfline war against plagarism.
