In order to prevent the occurrence of a military coup in the country, Cameroon's 90-year-old President Paul Biya has now made some significant changes in the Ministry of Defence.
He has just appointed personnel for the internal and external services of the Ministry.
The new structural appointments are just some effort to stop or avert coup planning in the country. It will be noted that the military took over in Gabon yesterday morning, and this is happening less than two months since the military took over in Niger.
Biya has been Cameroon's President since 1982. He was the Prime Minister from 1975 to 1982.
