Doctor Who Confidential will reportedly return next year when Russell T Davies’s second era in charge of the show begins.
Davies – responsible for Doctor Who’s comeback in 2005 – is returning as showrunner next year in time for the 60th anniversary.
The special episode will see David Tennant and Catherine Tate reprise their roles as The Doctor and Donna Noble, with Ncuti Gatwa then expected to take the reins and become the new Doctor.
In Davies’s first stint in charge of the show, a spinoff show called Doctor Who Confidential aired on BBC Three but it was axed in 2012 during Steven Moffat’s tenure.
