It seems to be the season of error from the leading three presidential candidates for the next year general election as the three were caught in different political and statistical error that can mar their chances next year.
Last weekend, the candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claimed during his meeting with the Arewa Consultative Forum that he is the candidate of the north, and the north should vote for him because of that. This statement has been turned to a tribalistic statement.
Also, the candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was caught in slip of tongue when during his speech in Kaduna, while eulogizing the State governor, Malam El-Rufai, Tinubu claimed that El-rufai can turn a rotten situation to bad, instead of saying good. People have been making jest of him.
In another dimension, the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi was also caught in an exaggerated claim in his recent meeting, the governor claim that the Brewery investment he brought to Anambra as the governor has employed 60% of Anambra people. This is far from reality as the population of Anambra is 4 million plus people, and 50% of that will be above 2.3 million people.
No company in Nigeria has ever employed half of that population.
The presidential election will be held next year February and each camp is anticipating for errors from their opponents.
