A Nigerian Airforce helicopter has reportedly crashed in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, close to the headquarters of the Nigerian Airforce Air Training Centre in Mando.
Though the Nigerian Airforce Management has yet to release an official statement, locals reported that the helicopter went down early Monday morning in Taimi village, near Rigachikun.
In response to the crash, a team of Airforce personnel from the Nigerian Airforce Air Training Centre and the 401 Flying School quickly secured the scene. They have cordoned off the area to facilitate emergency rescue operations and to investigate the cause of the crash.
In another development, President Tinubu has requested for the purchase of a new aircraft based on the faulty conditions of the present airlines being used to transport the president.
