Daniel Onjeh, the APC's senatorial candidate for Benue South in 2023, has expressed sympathy to Bongos Ikwue, a legendary musician who was born in Benue, over the death of his wife, Mrs.
Josephine Ifeyinwa Ikwue.
According to a statement Onjeh personally signed and made available to the media on Friday, the deceased's remains will be buried following a Requiem Mass in Otukpo on Friday (today).
Mrs. Ikwue was very "active in the church and the community, having fully integrated into her husband's Idoma culture," the APC candidate claimed.
According to Onje, the late Mrs. Ikwue "was a firm believer in the Nigeria Project and, as a patriot, immensely contributed her own quota to national development and integration, hence the flow of tributes to her from all walks of life," as well as "like her husband, the renowned musician."
The late Mrs. Ikwue's family, friends, fellow parishioners, and the community she left behind should find comfort and solace in the prayers of the Good Lord, he prayed.
