Kano State High Court No.
7 has set a new date for the arraignment of Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), along with his wife, son, and five others. The arraignment is now scheduled for June 5.
The defendants in the case, including Ganduje's wife, son, and several others, are facing charges related to criminal conspiracy and breach of trust. Among the accused are Abubaka Bawuro, Jibrilla Muhammad, as well as companies like Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textile Ltd., and Lasage General Enterprise Ltd.
Previously, the case was assigned to Kano State High Court No. 5, but it was later reassigned to High Court No. 7 by the State Chief Judge, Justice Dije Aboki. The new charge sheet, seen by NAN, outlines 11 count charges, expanding upon the initial eight counts against Ganduje and his co-defendants.
Earlier, Justice Usman Na’abba of High Court No. 5 had slated May 16 for a ruling on the request for substituted service on the defendants, but the case has since been transferred to Justice Amina Adamu at High Court No. 7.
