In order for Nigerians to celebrate this year Eid-El- Kabir, the Federal Government has declared Tuesday, August 21, and Wednesday, August 22, as public holidays.
This was made officially known on Thursday through a statement from the Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Dambazau by the Permanent Mohammed Umar.
The minister wished Nigerians on behalf of the federal government a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration and urged them to embrace the virtues of love and sacrifice for the unity and development of the country. He also called on Nigerians to support the Federal Government as it is determined to foster peace and unity in the country.
Meanwhile, workers in Osun state will now have three days for public hoilday next week because the Governor of the state of Osun Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has already declared Monday August 20, 2018 as public holiday to mark this year "Isese day".
It will be recalled that Osun state government always declares a day annually for the traditional worshippers in the state.
