Ahead of the governorship elections coming up on Saturday, a man yet to be identified has threatened to stop supporters of the Labour Party from casting their ballots.
This comes amid reports that political thugs attacked and intimidated the LP supporters, popularly known as Obidients, during the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
In the video, which has gone viral on social media, the man is heard threatening the Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, to steer clear of the election.
According to the man suspected of being one of the thugs causing mayhem in the state, either the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is re-elected or nobody would be elected.
He said, “If they are your parents, come and vote for the Labour Party in Lagos; it is either Sanwo-Olu or nobody. You tribal bigots, come vote; let’s see.
“Shey na Gbadebo be his name; if they are born your mama, well, come and be Lagos Governor”.
Some concerned citizens have called on relevant authorities not to underestimate the threat, citing the violence that marred the presidential elections in some parts of the state.
