He died in a ghastly road accident involving his private vehicle while on his way to Umuahia in the early hours of Monday.

Popularly known as Pocket, he was said to have had a head-on collision with an articulated vehicle, popularly known as a trailer.

He was reportedly crushed on the spot.

He was among officials of the Abia State government who was relieved of their appointments recently.

He handed over the affairs of the agency to the most senior staff in compliance with the directive of the Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti few weeks ago.
