This decision was made during a crucial meeting held on Tuesday evening, February 13, 2024, in Abuja, presided over by the Deputy National Chairman, Mrs Ladi Iliya.

In a move to address the allegations promptly, the party has extended an invitation to the National Treasurer, Ms Oluchi Opara, requiring her presence at the Conference Hall of the Party National Headquarters on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 10 am.

The Labour Party leadership is urging its members to exercise patience during this challenging time, assuring them that the issue will be thoroughly investigated and resolved. The commitment to transparency and accountability remains a top priority for the party, and it is determined to address any misconduct that may tarnish its reputation.

As the party navigates through this disciplinary process, it underscores the importance of upholding the principles and values that define the Labour Party, ensuring that internal matters are handled in accordance with established rules and regulations. The swift action taken by the party leadership demonstrates its dedication to maintaining integrity and accountability within the organization.
