A secondary school boy has reportedly been beaten to death in the Ikorodu axis in Lagos State after he was because he was unable to answer a question which was thrown at him.
The sad news was broken by the elder brother (Ridwan) of the boy in question, who said that his younger brother whom he identified as Boluwatife Omelaja was beaten to death by his secondary school maths teacher simply identified as Mr Emmanuel, over his inability to answer a maths question.
The late Boluwatife Omelaja who is a student of Elihans College, Ikorodu, Lagos State, died on the 26th of November, 2020 after his teacher flogged him. His corpse was reportedly driven home in the school bus.
When asked about the cause of the young boy's death, Mr Emmanuel lied that Boluwatife had slumped and died while he was answering a question on the board.
However, by the time the family of young Boluwatife knew the true story, the teacher who is responsible for his death had fled. According to Boluwatife's brother who called for justice for his brother, the administration of the school have refused to provide Mr Emmanuel.
Though the boy has been buried according to Islamic rite which hindered autopsy to be carried out on the guy, it is still possible for the body of the boy to be exhumed for examination if the family permits.
