The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency's (NDLEA) website has crashed as a recruitment drive has started.

Naijacrawl checked the agency's website on Monday and discovered that there were "500 internal server errors."

The agency's hiring process started on Sunday and was supposed to last for two weeks.

However, candidates have been unable to access the website for hours.

Femi Babafemi, the agency's director of media and advocacy, confirmed the development when our correspondent contacted him, but he claimed that website traffic-related bugs were to blame.

“The portal never crashed. There are glitches due to the huge number of applicants trying to access the platform simultaneously, but our technical team is resolving that before noon”, he stated.
