The Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, Comrade Oshiomole attends the lying in state for Late Sir Victor Uwaifo, and the two politicians embraced each other after a long period of animosity.
In my tribute at the lying-in-state for Late Sir Victor Uwaifo, held in Benin City, I described the passing of the music legend as the end of an era. The state government has immortalised the late Uwaifo, by naming the Edo Creative Hub after the music maestro.
It will be noted that Oshiomole and Obaseki fought prior to the last year Edo gubernatorial election which led to the ousting of the governor from the party.
