Justice Olamide Folahanmi Oloyede, a fired High Court Judge, has been returned to the Osun State Judiciary by the Osun State administration.
This is due to the fact that it did not appeal the decision against it in the case of the dismissed jurist.
The Osun Civil Societies Coalition petitioned her for allegedly failing to behave herself in a manner that preserved the dignity of her position, impartiality, and independence of the judiciary.
Following this, the National Judicial Council (NJC) unfairly retired Justice Oloyede in 2016.
The jurist had petitioned the court to overturn her forced retirement.
However, her expulsion was declared illegal by the Federal High Court in Abuja, which ordered the Osun government to reinstall her.
In June of 2021, Justice Oloyede won her case against the state government. On Tuesday, June 1, 2022, Justice Oloyede resumed her case before the Osun State High Court's Ijebu-Jesa division.
