In a statement on Saturday, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, announced that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba, has approved the redeployment of three Deputy Inspector-Generals (DIGs) and 17 Assistant Inspector-Generals (AIGs).
Under the new redeployment, DIG Hafiz M. Inuwa will be heading the Department of Logistics and Supply. Additionally, DIG Bala Ciroma will head the Department of Training and Development, while DIG Frank Mba will be in charge of the Department of Research and Planning.
Following their recent promotions, DIG Ciroma will serve as the supervising DIG for the North-East region, while DIG Mba will take on a supervisory role for the South-East region. These changes aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force's operations.
The 17 AIGs posted or redeployed to various commands and formations are as follows:
