Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, APC, has explained why Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, LP, cannot appear in court to demand that he be declared the election's victor.
To demonstrate that he placed second, Keyamo claimed Obi must battle the People's Democratic Party, or PDP.
He asserted that after demonstrating their second-place finish, they could oust Bola Tinubu as president.
In a tweet, Keyamo wrote: “Peter Obi and the Labour Party cannot even come to court and ask to be declared winners straightaway.
“They have to first fight PDP in order to prove they came second, before they can have the temerity to face @officialABAT. So, there is no room for cooperation between Labour and the PDP in court.”
Obi came in third in last Saturday’s presidential election after PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and Tinubu, who was declared the winner of the poll.
