The Rivers State Ethnic Youth Leaders Coalition has made a resounding call for Commissioner for Special Projects, Chief Chukwuemeka Woke, to issue an apology to Governor Siminalayi Fubara for alleged derogatory remarks against the state's current administration.

Issuing a statement from Port Harcourt on Friday, the coalition, led by Dr. Legborsi Yamaabana, emphasized the importance of loyalty and integrity within the government. They stressed that the interests of the state and its citizens should always supersede personal agendas and political maneuvering.

The statement strongly condemned Woke's behavior, highlighting a pattern of self-interest and disregard for the public good, particularly citing his history of resignation followed by an unrepentant return to office.

Calling upon Governor Fubara to exhibit discernment and decisiveness in addressing disloyalty within his cabinet, the coalition underscored the need for accountability and commitment to service.

Furthermore, the coalition demanded a prompt retraction and apology from Commissioner Woke to Governor Fubara and the Rivers State government. Failure to comply, they warned, would only exacerbate the breach of trust and loyalty to the administration.

In a gesture of appreciation, the youth leaders commended former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili, for his unwavering support for the Fubara-led administration and the collective aspirations of the people of Rivers State.

As the situation unfolds, the coalition remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the principles of integrity and accountability in governance, advocating for the best interests of Rivers State and its citizens above all else.
