A non governmental organization, Socio-Economic Rights And Accountability Project (SERAP) has given the authority of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) a seven days ultimatum to clarify the NYSC exemption certificate being alleged to have been possessed by the Minister of finance; Mrs Kemi Adeosun.

The NGO has sent a freedom of information request to the director general of the agency Brigadier General Sule Kazaure asking him to "urgently provide information on specific details and documents on the exemption certificate granted to the minster of finance, Mrs Adeosun Kemi".The NGO said it " needs the information to determine if the crime of forgery has been committed and if so to consider possible action in the circumstances including asking the AGF Mr Malami SAN to prosecute or for us to consider the option of a private prosecution ".It can be recalled that a reputable national newspaper; Premium times has alleged the Minister of finance for over 29 days that she possesses an " Oluwole" NYSC exemption certificate because she graduated from a London polytechnic at the age of 22 which still make her to proceed for service instead of applying for exemption certificate usually for people that graduated at 30 or served in military or hold national honour, but since then the concerned minister, authority of NYSC and the federal government have kept mute about the matter.
