In the unprecedented review of Supreme Court verdict pertaining to the Bayelsa state gubernatorial election of which the candidate of the APC Hon Lyon was disallowed from being sworn in as governor of the state in less than twenty-four hours to his inauguration by declaring the PDP candidate that was the first runner up in the election as the duly elected governor.
Earlier today, the Supreme Court has upheld her verdict again by saying the deputy governor-elect definitely forged his certificate with the inconsistency in his name. In the verdict that was upheld today, the supreme court was saddened that two renowned lawyer in the country Femi Olanipekun and Afe Babalola can stoop so low for the reconsideration of the supreme court verdict which the Constitution affords us to be the final.
For the fact, the supreme court charged the lawyer to pay a sum of ten million naira each to the Governor and deputy governor of Bayelsa state.
It will be recalled that the PDP has also filled a review of the court verdict concerning Imo State election, a case that will be heard next month.
