The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has urged Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming president, to assemble a group of experts and thinkers to develop a strategy for Nigeria's economic recovery.

In a letter of congratulations to Tinubu that was penned by Moses Olafare, the royal father's director of media and publicity, the royal father made the call.

You must immediately put together a transition team of intelligent men and women to develop an economic recovery blueprint for your May 29 inauguration, according to Ooni.

“Nigerians have voted for you because of your promise of a renewed hope, and you must act swiftly from your first day in office to set the ball rolling in a manner that will further assure Nigerians of the renewed hope.”

Tinubu was announced the winner of the February 25 presidential poll on Wednesday morning.

He defeated the main opposition candidates, the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar, the Labor Party’s Peter Obi, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The former Lagos State governor received his Certificate of Return in Abuja on Wednesday.
