ATIKU CLINCHES PDP PRESIDENTIAL TICKET
The erstwhile vice President of Nigeria Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has won the Presidential ticket of the leading opposition party People Democratic Party (PDP) in the party national convention being held in Rivers state.
Atiku pulled 1,528 votes while his close rival the Governor of Sokoto state Aminu Tambuwal has 693 votes and the senate president Bukola Saraki garnered 317 votes.
With this, Atiku will now challenge the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari who is the sole candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress in next year general election.
Meanwhile, he has thanked the party supporters for entrusting him with the party ticket through it twitter account.
