Only change is constant, as one staunch supporter today may turn to one unpacified adversary tomorrow, this can be said of a former "trekking" supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, named Isa Mohammed Munlaila, a person who in 2015 trekked from Lagos to Lokoja in Kogi state to show his enthusiastic supports for President Buhari, But fast forward to yesterday August 23, 2018 began trekking to Abuja from Lagos in protest at what he called the failure of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress to provide jobs for Nigerian youths.
According to reports, Munlaila lamented that people were suffering as the standard of living had gone up, adding that the president had failed to fulfill his promises to the people.
“Actually, I want to show my disappointment for this APC. As you can see, the youths of this country are very angry. APC promised us heaven on earth, they promised us three million jobs in a year, but now, we don’t even have 500,000 jobs in four year,” he said.
Munlaila was seen carried a small box painted green and red with “R.I.P A.P.C.” written on the red painted part.
Meanwhile, different meanings are being given to Munlaila latest decision to trek from Lagos to Abuja, many see it as a show to garner attention from the ruling party to him, maybe he want compensation.
