Jose Mourinho, the coach of Roma, used the press conference to discuss the striker they are negotiating with.
I really appreciate Belotti's desire to become a Roma player, Mourinho said, adding that Belotti "wants and is applying pressure to join Roma."
Jose Mourinho addressed the media on Monday before Roma's match against Cremonese, and when asked if he planned to sign anyone else, the Portuguese manager discussed his plans.
“Belotti wants and is applying pressure to join AS Roma, and I really appreciate his desire to become a Roma player,” Mourinho said. The Portuguese is confident that the board will accept his latest request after the effort the team from the capital made to get Paulo Dybala and Giorginio Wijnaldum.
The board knew about Belotti’s intentions in order to sign him for Roma, but the Italian side must first complete the sales of some players in order to buy the former Torino footballer.
Belotti is waiting for Roma to allow him to join them, and Mourinho’s latest comments look encouraging. We will see what the reigning Conference League champions end up doing.
