Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has apologized after a confrontation with the club’s youngster, Dan Gore, in training.
According to The Guardian, Martial was on the receiving end of a strong challenge from Gore during a training session at Carrington last Wednesday.
The French government retaliated, but Gore refused to back down.
Both players had to be pulled apart, with Martial apologizing to the 18-year-old, who was signed from Burnley in the summer, after the incident.
Martial is continuing to train with Manchester United after not being selected for the France squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag told Gore that first-team players should not be challenged in training because of the possibility of injuries occurring.
