Referee Mateu Lahoz, who officiated the Argentina vs.

Netherlands match, has been asked to go home.

Lahoz will no longer be a referee at the World Cup.

Lahoz will not be officiating any of the remaining games at the World Cup as he heads home from Qatar, the Daily Mail reported.

The referee’s final game was the feisty quarter-final clash between Argentina and the Netherlands, where he issued an incredible 15 yellow cards.

Lahoz’s performance did not go down well with either team, with most of Argentina’s players being particularly vocal about his officiating.
