The French international has had a standout season for Monaco in Ligue 1, leading to some of the biggest clubs in Europe pursuing the midfielder.
Tchouameni is a talented midfielder who has already shown his capabilities on the international stage in recent months.
The 2021 Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year scored in France’s 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast in March.
According to RMC Sport, Tchouameni has already told his teammates that his next destination will be Real Madrid.
Over the past few weeks, the 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield, with David Maddock from the Daily Mirror saying that Tchouameni had agreed personal terms with Jurgen Klopp’s side alongside Real Madrid.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the deal for the highly rated midfielder is expected to cost “way more than €50 million”, with Real Madrid happy to pay the extra costs after Kylian Mbappe’s move to the club collapsed.
The deal is expected to cost around the €80 million mark, which likely made Liverpool less keen on the transfer.
Tchouameni will likely be part of the new era of Los Blancos’ midfielders, with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Casemiro all entering the back end of their careers.
He will join up with compatriots Karim Benzema, Eduardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy at the Bernabeu.
It comes as a blow to Liverpool who narrowly lost out of the Premier League title last weekend.
Kylian Mbappe also revealed that he had been in talks with Jurgen Klopp over a potential transfer before deciding to stay at PSG.
The Reds will have a chance to show Tchouameni what he is missing out on when they play Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League final this Saturday.
