Al Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has revealed that Barcelona tried to sign him during the early stage of his career.

Ronaldo played for Barcelona’s LaLiga rivals, Real Madrid, in the past.

The Portugal international won several trophies including the UEFA Champions League during his time at the Los Blancos.

Speaking recently with @EduAguirre7, the 39-year-old forward also said he loved playing at the Camp Nou when he was a Real Madrid player.

“I could have played for Barça before Manchester United,” Ronaldo said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

“I was at Sporting, they tried to sign me. They wanted me but one year after.

“Then Manchester United appeared.”

He added, “I loved playing in the Camp Nou. They booed me, they insulted me, and I loved it.”

Ronaldo has also played for Juventus and Manchester United in the past.
