Luka Modric, a midfielder for Real Madrid, has issued a warning to Manchester City ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg encounter on Wednesday in Spain.
Real Madrid are the most decorated club in the Champions League, according to Modric, who added that they will never give up ahead of the second leg encounter at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Carlo Ancelotti's side were not at their best in the first leg last week at Etihad, according to the Ballon d'Or winner, but managed to score three goals against the Premier League champions.
During his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Modric issued the warning.
"We're optimistic in our ability to break the tie," he stated. Even though we weren't at our best in the first leg, we managed to score three goals.
We have to perform better tomorrow night, and I am sure that we will. We have got the quality, character and also the history of this club, which has won so many big games.
“We’re the most decorated club in the Champions League and all of that plays its part. We know what we have to do out there. All of that makes us stronger, and we never give up, and that’s what this club has taught us since we arrived here. ”
