Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has sent a message of support to England captain Harry Kane after his penalty miss in his side’s 2-1 quarterfinal defeat to France over the weekend.
Kane missed a penalty and also scored another spot-kick as France defeated England in the last eight in Qatar.
Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud scored for France against England.
However, Drogba, who helped Chelsea to many successes during his ten years at Stamford Bridge, told Kane that his missed penalty would make him stronger going forward.
The Ivorian also described Kane, a Tottenham Hotspur striker, as a true captain and leader.
Drogba wrote on Twitter on Sunday, “It will hurt @HKane, but you are a true Captain and leader. I really like the way you played during this World Cup, an example for strikers to watch: score, assist, hold and lead !!” "It will take time to get over it, but this will make you stronger!”
